I've always loved the impact that breathtaking landscapes have on me. It also fascinates me how much beauty there is in the world around us when explored at the macro level. In recent years, I discovered a passion for capturing unique and beautiful moments at indoor sports events such as artistic gymnastics. Being able to freeze those moments of motion and translating them into special memories feels very rewarding.

With those passions in mind I came up with the brand Nature & Motion to integrate my love for photography more into my daily life.

Since I was a teenager I have been deeply interested in the art of photography. Back then, digital photography was not yet a thing. Growing up in Germany, my dad introduced me to the exciting world of film cameras, light meters and various lenses. I even learned how to develop B+W photos in the lab. While there is still a lot of artistic potential and advantage in film photography, digital photography seems to be largely dominating the world. Over the years I've owned manual film cameras, point-and-shoot digital cameras and various DSLRs before I decided to upgrade to a full-frame mirrorless camera. I mostly utilize prime lenses with different focal lengths to frame that unique shot with the level of detail and artistic effect that I am looking for.

I can usually find something exciting and beautiful in any view or perspective, no matter how insignificant or dull it may seem at first, and then frame a shot to highlight that detail. Beauty is often found in the small details that we tend to overlook because of our busy lives.
